This is just another appointment that has been made for me and I have been told I need to keep... Not much happened today, we talked about my food journals, sugar levels and insulin regimen and all seems good on the front.
Amy - the dietitian, pointed out that I need to look at the big picture of ALL the sugar levels and not get upset over a couple that are slightly out of range. They are going to keep varying not only because of food choices, but also because my hormone levels fluctuate day to day during pregnancy.
No changes in insulin at this time - 36 units of NPH in the morning, and then 14 until NPH at bedtime seems to keep the sugar levels in check. I do find myself NEEDING the every 2 hour meals or the do end up dipping lower than my comfort levels, but so far that mostly seems to only happen during the day when I do not eat soon enough - or at night if I do a high carb, low protein snack before bed...
It is all a guessing game, I don't go back for a month, we will see what happens!
